EASTER REVISION COURSEGUIDE
A Level Accounting
Aims
1. To develop strong examination technique
2. To review the more difficult topics in depth
3. To undertake extensive exam practice
Course Design
The course is designed to meet the requirements of the AEB
syllabus. Additional assistance will be given for students taking examinations on other boards. The course will be supported by a comprehensive Easter Revision Pack which includes past exam papers.
It is hoped that by the end of the course the student will have a particular “battle plan” for every type of question that may appear on a typical A Level paper. These battle plans will be tried and tested methods and will allow any student to answer questions in a highly organised and systematic way. It will give students the confidence and ability required to pick up marks very easily and be able to cope with all questions regardless of their complexity.
Daily Programme
A typical day will start with a brief lecture plus an exam
question which will be answered on the board with participation from the students. This will serve as a model answer for all other questions on the topic. Then another question will be set in which the students will have to answer themselves but using the model answer as a guide. The teacher will, of course, always be on call to help students where necessary.
An understanding of basic double entry bookkeeping will be assumed.
