English Literature

Overview

English Literature is the study of literature written in English throughout the world. It covers literature from all major periods in history, from medieval to postmodern. Students will study a range of individual works and authors and the historical contexts in which works of literature were created. Students will learn to compare different styles of writing and different genres of literature. They will also study the evolution of literary thinking and how literary works have been interpreted in different ways over time.
