Maggie Jones
This is a unique little restaurant located just 30 seconds away from the college. It serves traditional English food and has a traditional atmosphere. They tend to keep the lights slightly at a twilight level, though it can’t be to prevent you seeing what you are eating, as the portions are very generous. Very expensive, but good quality and a good experience.
Sticky Fingers
Sticky Fingers, located just off the High Street, was opened in 1989 by the legendary Rolling Stones rocker Bill Wyman. It is certainly an interesting place to eat – the restaurant is filled with Rolling Stones memorabilia, and it feels like an American diner. The staff are welcoming and the food, especially the burgers are incredibly good. The prices are very high but if you go on a Monday, you can have your meal for half-price thanks to their ‘Monday Madness’ offer. An interesting and quirky place. |
