Description
Lee Abbey is a large hostel and houses a number of students from Ashbourne College. There are four grades of room: triple, double, single and single ensuite. Most residents start in a triple or double room, and then can apply for a single or single ensuite. Triple rooms are a bit cramped, but perfectly adequate, and single and double bedrooms are fairly spacious. Rooms are complete with a single bed, wardrobe, desk, sink and shelves.

Students are given a lot of freedom, and are treated as adults. They are welcome to decorate their rooms as they like, and can come and go freely. There are also lots of opportunities for residents to interact socially. There are lots of shared facilities to encourage residents to socialise, such as a common room with table tennis tables. Frequently activities are organised in the evenings, such as regular film nights, themed events, or trips. There is also an extensive garden, and there are frequently barbecues and games in the summer. Bathrooms are shared for students who do not have an ensuite. There is also a laundry and music practice rooms available.

Meals are catered, with breakfast and dinner on weekdays, and breakfast, lunch and dinner on the weekends. Meals are available within timed sessions. There are also kitchens for the residents use. Alcohol is not allowed in the kitchens and the space must be used within certain time periods to avoid disturbing other residents.
