Genetics deals with heredity and variation in all organisms, from bacteria to humans. As well as being one of the core disciplines in the molecular biosciences, genetics is of fundamental importance in understanding the functioning of our own bodies in both sickness and health, and in developing new medical treatments.
A degree in Medical Genetics is designed to provide a broad grounding in genetics and the other molecular biosciences, together with a range of advanced modules that emphasise topics of medical relevance.
