| Madame Tussauds |
Here is a chance to meet Gordon Brown, Barack Obama, Brad Pitt, David Beckham, Cameron Diaz and Nelson Mandela. They and many others have been molded in wax and you can visit them at Madame Tussauds on Marylebone Road. The museum was set up in 1835 by Marie Tussaud and some of the original sculptures survive. The most notorious and popular display is the chamber of horrors, which contains a vast array of torture implements and life-like torture victims. Five minutes away is 221b Baker Street, home of the famous detective Sherlock Holmes.
