| National Gallery |
The National Gallery, in Trafalgar Square, houses one of the greatest collections of paintings in the world. Highlights include Vincent Van Gogh’s ‘Sunflowers’, Bottecelli’s ‘Venus and Mars’ and Rubens’s ‘Samson and Delilah’. Adjacent is the National Portrait gallery where you can see Shakespeare, Henry VIII, Queen Victoria and the present Queen Elizabeth I immortalized on canvas. Both galleries are extremely popular with tourists, schools, art students and Londoners wandering in at lunchtime to gaze at their favourite painting.
