Overseas Students
As with many private colleges in the UK, Ashbourne has a long tradition of welcoming international scholars to study A levels in preparation for entry to British universities. Whether at A level or GCSE, all students accepted for entry must have an IELTS score of 5.5 or an equivalent proficiency in the English language.International students may have supporting tuition in spoken and written English at no extra cost.
Ashbourne's Accommodation Officer ensures that international students requiring accommodation during their time at the college enjoy a "home-from-home" experience appropriate to their individual requirements. Essentially, there are two types from which to choose:

• Student Hostels
• Boarding with an approved host family

The college has long established relationships with a number of local student hostels. Each hostel is located in a quiet residential neighbourhood with wardens on hand 24 hours a day. Most commonly two students will share a room, although single rooms are available to those who book well in advance.

All accommodation is fully inspected before it is offered to students and is within walking distance or an easy bus or train journey from Ashbourne.
