St Dorothy’s is located in Hampstead, in zone 2. This is likely to be a 40 minute tube journey. There is then a 10 minute walk to St Dorothy’s.
Description
St Dorothy’s is a quiet hostel located in Hampstead with approximately 25 residents. Many of these residents are from overseas, and the hostel always has a healthy mix of cultures. There are single rooms or dormitory style bedrooms available. The bedrooms contain single beds or bunk beds, wardrobes, storage space, sinks and dressing tables. The rooms are not very lavish, but are practical and functional. There is a large study room, with numerous desks and working space. In addition to this, there are free laundry facilities, shared bathrooms, a TV room, a separate common room, and a large garden.
Meals are included in the price. Breakfast and an evening meal are provided. There is also a kitchen with basic supplies, where light cooking is possible. Meals are available on the weekend upon request for an extra charge.
A cleaning system is in place for every day except Sunday. There is a member of staff on site at all times. The students have a signing in and out system, and a curfew of 10.30 on weekdays and 11.30 on weekends.
Additional Information
This quiet hostel would not be suited to all residents. It would not be suited to students who wish to live very independently or go out late at night. A more reserved style of behaviour would be necessary if students are to live happily here.
Prices
The prices for St Dorothy’s are lower than some of the other hostels Ashbourne students reside at, but there will be additional costs for travel.
Single - £110.00 per week
Double - £100.00 per week
Triple - £90.00 per week
Quad - £80.00 per week
A booking fee (£40.00) and deposit (£220.00) are also required. The deposit will cover the last two weeks of stay at St Dorothy’s.
Fees have to be paid four weeks in advance.
