Ashbourne Allstars trials – What does it take to make the team?

The Ashbourne Allstars ended last season at the top of the league, which is a tough act to follow. With trials taking place soon to see who makes the cut, what are managers Fabio Carpene and Steve Balogun expecting from these new hopefuls? Fitness The Allstars train every Thursday, and play a game against a fellow league team every Tuesday. Although training will be fairly rigorous in itself, players will also be expected to maintain their own fitness. Ashbourne College art students win big at ‘Art on Show’ competition

We are proud to announce that three of Ashbourne’s talented artists have been awarded prizes from Kensington and Chelsea’s Schools ‘Art on Show’ competition. Mai Doud, Elena Biryula and Armand Daniaud are Fine Art students that range dynamically in style and approach, and it’s this array of artwork which is a perfect example of the genuine creativity and individuality that characterises Ashbourne’s Art Department. The Ashbourne Allstars are off to the CIFE Football Tournament!

It’s that time of year again! The Ashbourne Allstars are heading off to the famous St George’s Park training ground today, to take part in the Annual CIFE Football Tournament. Just in case you’re unfamiliar with how it all works, here’s a reminder. What happens on the day? The team headed out early to arrive and register at the grounds for about 10.30am. Once registered, the group stages kick off at around 11am. Ashbourne students victorious at Art Explosion

We are delighted that once again Ashbourne has excelled in the Art Explosion competition, with prizes for Yi-Huan Lin and Doan Tran Phuong Mai, who was the overall winner! The victors are rewarded with a variety of prizes, most notably the exhibition of the winning work in October at the prestigious Saatchi Gallery. Success in this competition is undoubtedly a boost to the career of any up-and-coming artist! The Art Explosion Exhibition kicks off this evening, in partnership with the Saatchi Gallery. It’s a competition open to students ages between 16 – 19, and can consist of a group piece entry or individual entries. Those who enter the competition are in with a chance of winning an Ipad Mini, art equipment vouchers, in addition to various other runner up prizes..
