When assessing entry requirements try to be realistic. There is little point in applying to a department which requires 360 UCAS Tariff Points (AAA) if you are likely to achieve 280 points (BBC). There is a common belief that the higher the entry requirements the better the department. This is not necessarily so. Whilst high levels of demand often lead good departments to make high offers, they may also make quite low offers to students they especially want. Rather than simply assuming the higher the offer the better the department, look at the wider picture: consider all the different factors that go in to making a department a good place to study listed here.
