You will spend the next three years of your life at university. The right location is important. Think about life outside of university – is the town or city an interesting and exciting place to live? Are there likely to be opportunities to take on part time work (a growing reality for many students)? How expensive is it to live there?
Some universities are based around a campus (with all teaching, other facilities, and most of the accommodation, on one site). Others are spread around different parts of the city. Different people prefer different settings. A campus can add to the university experience. Others dislike the fact that campuses are often some way from the city centre.
