Engineering club tutor

Ashbourne College is looking for someone with the knowledge, experience and enthusiasm to run our weekly Engineering Club during term time.

The Engineering Club helps student build the theoretical and practical skills required to prepare them for university and a career in Engineering. Students may work individually or as a team and take individual and collective responsibility for a project, just like in industry. Examples of previous projects include bridge building, developing and designing medical emergency equipment and developing a computer simulation of a satellite launch. We encourage students to come up with their own suggestions for projects to work on thoughout the year. Skills students develop include group working, research and realisation, communication, time management, presentation and report writing.

Ashbourne is committed to equal treatment of all applications and safeguarding the welfare of children. It expects its staff to share these commitments as well as undergoing an enhanced DBS check.
