Ashbourne Allstars 1 – 0 Ealing Independent College

Ashbourne Allstars secured their place at the top of the league last week after a tense contest with Ealing College.

Ealing piled on the pressure throughout the game, creating several clear-cut chances but were unable to capitalize on them. The heavy rain throughout made the pitch at Burlington Danes a difficult surface to play on.

Despite Ealing’s poor run of form, they met the challenge valiantly and managed to keep it 0-0 right up until the last minute. The Allstars bagged the three points with a last minute goal from Larry Moir, the culmination of a slick passing move; demonstrating the lad’s resilience and calmness under pressure.

Ashbourne’s win sets up a photo finish at the top. With DLD and CATS College still to play, it’s looking like it will come down to the final game of the season, between DLD and Ashbourne. This is guaranteed to be a thrilling end to what has been a fantastic season!
