The Allstars went into the game 2nd in the league having beaten CATS College 2-0 last week.
The Allstars started sluggishly and almost went a goal down after 10 mins, when a defensive error allowed MPW's powerful 6ft 4" forward a shot on goal, which Alex Repetto saved brilliantly at point blank range.
The Allstars started to improve after a tactical change moving Arman up front so that we could hold the ball up and get the team playing higher up the pitch.
We started to carve the MPW defence open with quick incisive passes and on 20 mins, Alex Fatsis picked the ball up on the left and played a smart one-two with Arman, with Alex smartly finishing from a tight angle.
Mins later Arman Jafari hit the post with a clever shot and with that the half time whistle was blown.
The coaches asked the team to show more energy in the second half and to go out and play at a higher tempo.
The Allstars came out with all guns blazing and 5 mins into the half it was 2-0. Lawrence Moir finished a superb move with a clinical finish. Lawrence and William Mattin were dominating the midfield, with Alex and Keanu giving great width from the wide areas, causing all sorts of problems to the MPW defence.
With 15 mins to go, Alex Repetto, Ben Anglade and Max Wilkinson thwarted another goal scoring opportunity from MPW which kept the score at 2-0.
Immediately after this chance, Bader entered the game for Keanu and almost immediately rifled a shot past the helpless goalkeeper to make it 3-0.
With 10 mins remaining Kaan Keskin was brought on to inject a bit of creativity to the game and he almost scored a superb solo goal which crashed off the crossbar. Arman also had another shot hit the post and although he didnt score, the Allstars captain had an unselfish game.
Bader quickly made it 4-0 with another clinical finish from the right and in the final moments of the game, Will Mattin played a superb defence splitting pass which found Keanu one on one with the keeper, which the Ghanaian finished superbly to make it 5-0.
Next week the Allstars play top of table DLD College in their final game of 2017.
Come on Allstars!!!!!!!
