Ashbourne Allstars vs Duff Miller College – Football Match

The Allstars gained a very hard fought win against very good opposition. After last weeks loss to CIC, the boys wanted to make amends and quickly took the lead after 3 minutes through Mark Koziritskiy. The Allstars began to dominate and could have added to the lead but were thwarted by the opposition goalkeeper on numerous occasions.

The Allstars tactics of a swift counter attacking style paid off towards the end of the game, when Dean Bonsu received the ball on his favoured left foot and calmly finished to make it 2-0.

The opposition got a goal back well into stoppage time and almost equalised, but heroic defending on the goal line, first from Jo Burrows and then from Denis Melas, gave the Allstars a much deserved win.
