Ashbourne College student through to Oxford Computing challenge!

If you've been keeping up to date with Ashbourne College news, you'll know that we've been making a mark when it comes to mathematics and computing challenges for some time now.

Our Computing student Alex Vlasto, who made it into the Uk Bebras 'Hall of Fame' in December 2014 after achieving a perfect score, has been invited by Oxford university for an additional stage of the competition on Saturday 16th January. Alex got full marks in the first round of this year's challenge, which put him in the top 15 in the country. This prompted Oxford's department of science to contact Ashbourne to invite him to the next stage!
As one of the founding members of the computing club here at Ashbourne College, this is an amazing opportunity for Alex to see what Oxford has to offer.
