UKMT STC (Senior Maths Challenge) - National Finalists:
The team performed superbly in the regional finals, coming in first (beating St. Pauls). The National final was a hard fought affair with stiff opposition from schools from all over the UK. To have finished in the top half was an admirable accomplishment. Well done team Ashbourne!

BAAO (British Astronomy and Astrophysics Olympiad)
This was the first year Ashbourne has held Olympiad competitions for Physics. This group of four students have excelled beyond expectations, all receiving Gold awards in BPhO Round One and subsequently gaining entry into the BAAO.This was a tough question paper pushing students well beyond the scope of the A-Level syllabus - particular praise goes to Qiran and MingShau who received Silver Awards for this. Amazing achievements - they have set the bar pretty high for future Ashers.

BMO (British Mathematical Olympiad) Round 2
Only one student gained entry in the BMO2 this year. An astonishing 31 marks out of a possible 40 in round 2 has led Hoang Duc to receive a Distinction Certificate. Absolutely amazing - what a naturally talented mathematician! As he is still in Year 12, we all wonder what lies in store for him next year.
