Exciting news for Ashbourne College art students!

It’s an exciting time of year to be studying art at an A level college in London!
Last year saw three Ashbourne College students selected for highly regarded Leighton House prizes. The names of those selected for this year’s exhibition will be revealed next week. Good luck Lidia Makarova, Sofia Topchishvili, Frankie Magnuson, Amy Hyam, Muxue Li, Anastasia Angeli, Yilang Jiang, Xusheng Zhao and Nazurah Abd Rahman! Here are two of the pieces hoping to be selected for the Leighton Exhibition:

The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea 'Art on Loan' programmeIn addition to the Leighton House exhibition, another exciting opportunity has arisen for students studying art this year. The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea has launched the Art on Loan Programme, which gives students the chance to have their artwork displayed in offices across the borough. Not only is this a fantastic opportunity for students to gain wider exposure for their work, but they will also gain part of any income that is generated from their art being used. Businesses will have the opportunity to view the artwork once the Leighton House exhibition opens in June, so we’re hoping they’ll be blown away by what Ashbourne College students have to offer!
