We are incredibly dedicated to academic excellence and helping students reach their full potential here at Ashbourne, but we don't believe in all work and no play. Before the start of each academic year, we put our heads together to come up with a programme of activities that has a little something for everyone. If you're joining us in September or from January, here's what you have to look forward to!
2016
1st September 2016: Duck Tour
Now firmly a part of Ashbourne tradition, this trip is our way of welcoming brand new Ashers to the school. Comprising of a tour around London and a meal, this outing is especially helpful for students who are new to the city.

15th September 2016: Bowling
Usually split into two teams of student and teachers, our bowling trips provide a good opportunity for teamwork and a little lighthearted competition. We’ve lost count of which team is in the lead, but it’s highly likely that the teachers have been keeping score!
29th September 2016: Stomp
Now in it's 25th year, Stomp is a global sensation that sees performers using everyday items to create an unforgettable rhythmic experience. With the perfect blend of dance and comedy, the biggest challenge faced by spectators will be trying to keep still!
21st October 2016: Don Giovanni
This tragicomedy tells the story of Don Giovanni on his travels through Europe, and the unexpected turns that take place along the way. Performed in Italian with English surtitles, this outing to the Royal Opera House is the perfect opportunity for students to immerse themselves in some Mozart.
17th November 2016: Giselle
Choreographer Akram Khan's brand new version of Giselle for the English National Ballet is not to be missed. Widely known as one of the greatest romantic ballets of all time, this innovative take on a classic really is something special.
25th November 2016: Go Karting
Go Karting has become a staple of the Ashbourne activities programme and is one of our more popular trips. Great for blowing off some steam at the end of a busy week, with an additional trip planned for 24th February 2017
9th December 2016: Ice Skating
Ice skating in December is another long standing tradition at Ashbourne, and the perfect way to get into the festive spirit. Whether it’s your first time on the ice or you’re a seasoned pro, there is something for everyone at all levels.

12th January 2017: Kinky Boots
Winner of the 2016 Olivier Award, this fast-paced musical documents the highs and lows of a struggling shoe factory with it’s future hanging in the balance. Inspired by true events, there is no shortage of laughs and lighthearted fun.
27th January 2017: Laser Tag
We added laser tag to the programme after a few students came forward to express they wanted to give it a try! A fantastic team sport and a great opportunity to bond. Students may discover a competitive side that they never knew they had! An additional Laser Tag trip is planned for 23rd March 2017
8th February 2017: The Comedy About A Bank Robbery
A production that does what it says on the tin! A tale of a robbery that has the makings of a disaster from the get-go, this midweek laugh will be the perfect cure for any hump day blues!
1st March 2017: Aladdin
Disney’s Aladdin brought to life in spectacular fashion, with all the much loved characters from the animated version and more. With magical songs and a breathtaking set, this hit musical has what all fans of the original cartoon could ever wish for.
27th April 2017: Sushi Making
All the fun of making sushi followed by the chance to eat it all. What’s not to love? This is a really great way for students to learn a new skill as well as bond with their peers.
