My 2 years with Ashbourne was an incredible journey. This fall I will begin my final year at King’s College, University of London, and will soon enter a new stage of life. I will never forget what Ashbourne College has given me - the people, the places, and the moments.

My choice to apply and attend Ashbourne College has been my most arbitrary and rewarding decision ever. I applied to Ashbourne on a whim from Hong Kong, days before classes were set to begin. I had no inkling of what the school was like except for what I’d learned on the website, my only thought being I wanted to finish my studies.
My first day at Ashbourne was a blur. I was introduced to all the little things that would come to make my next 2 years at the college an amazing experience; I was familiarized with the small, close-knit classes; the international student body that reflected a panorama of cultures and personalities; and the friendly, engaging faculty.
I took a brief repose from full-time education after completing my GCSE’s and being at Ashbourne brought me back into the habit of studying and socializing. Simply put, the environment I was exposed to in the college helped me move on with my life. It gave me much in terms of friends, acquaintances as well as the knowledge I gained from studying my A-Levels.
Perhaps the biggest highlights of the Ashbourne Calendar year are the Christmas Revue, in December, and the Euro Trip, in February. I’ve taken part in both events twice and each time I was left with a wonderful experience and memories to cherish. The Revue is an event that brings the entire college together for an evening of dazzling performances. I contributed to the show in both my years at Ashbourne, first with a dance and then with a video. Furthermore, the trips abroad, wonderfully organised by the staff at Ashbourne, have left me with some of my favourite adventures. I’ve come to cherish these events and will miss them dearly. To this day I continue to help the college even though I left it some years ago.
