Physics Department visits Greenwich for a day about Astronomy

Our Year 13 Physics students visited Greenwich for a full day to experience a planetarium show "Solar system, Galaxy and Universe". They also attended two workshops on "Stellar evolution" and "Expansion of the Universe".

These topics are all related to the Astrophysics part of the A-Level Physics syllabus. Ashbourne takes full advantage of the great resources London has to offer so our students have the opportunity to learn in different environments, outside the classroom.

The students also had time to walk around the Astronomy gallery, and take in the breathtaking views in and around Greenwich Park.
