UCAS Week is a great opportunity for Year 12 students to become familiar with the entire UCAS process in preparation for their applications next year. They are guided through the UCAS website, and introduced to the UCAS form and all the application steps and procedures. They learn what will be expected of them in terms of Personal Statement writing and extra curricular activities.
During UCAS Week, we arrange guest speakers to come to the college, many of which are representatives from Russell Group Universities and PUSH, a company that specialises in educating students about making the right university choices for them.
We find that students who attend UCAS Week are more active in the run up to their official application, by proactively seeking work experience over the summer months and attending our Personal Statement workshops. This gives them the best opportunity at getting ahead of the crowd and achieving an offer at their top university choice next year.
