The UK Mathematics Trust (UKMT) organises national mathematics competitions in addition to other mathematical activities for 11-18 year old UK school pupils. Each maths challenge leads onto a follow-on Olympiad round, and we’re pleased to announce that our students who took part earlier this month have done extremely well!
Congratulations to Jiaming Ning, Yanni She, Quanzhen Guo, Zige Zhang, Xiaoyu Weng and Zheng Liu who have all successfully made it through to the ‘Senior Kangaroo’ challenge.
We also had one student who made it through to the first round of the British Math Olympiad. This involves a high level of problem solving and has no multiple choice options. Well done Alex Vlasto!
Lastly, WELL DONE to Jiaming Ning, Yanni She, Xiaoyu Weng and Zheng Liu who represented Ashbourne College in the team competition! There were 3, 40 minute rounds, each supervised by a teacher from a different school. They came in 5th place out of 38 teams overall! Congratulations guys!
