The End of Year Awards are just around the corner. How time flies!
A level colleges can be very stressful places at this time of year, so it's great to have something to look forward to!
But please remember to sign up ASAP!
You must sign up and give menu choices to Astrid before the 18th May. The price to attend this event is £25
WhenThe End of Year Awards will be held on Friday 29th May, which is the official last day of term. This event is exclusively for upper sixth form students and staff.
WhereThe event will take place at the Kensington Close Hotel, which is a short walk away from the college. We will be based in the Balmoral room.
What to wearDress code for the night is formal / black tie. Think of it as the 'Oscars of Ashbourne'. There won't be a red carpet, but dress like there will be!
FoodThe Kensington Close Hotel knows how to put on a good spread! Not only will you be having a delicious three course meal, there will also be a chocolate fountain!
DrinkApart from a few glasses of wine that will be available with dinner (for students over the age of 18), there will be NO open bar. Sorry!
Presentations and prizesEach faculty will present an award, but there will also be surprise categories created by the Head Boy and Head Girl. Winners will receive vouchers and a trophy on the night.
PicturesThere will be an 'official' Ashbourne College photographer on the night, but please feel free to make good use of the photo booth provided! You can of course take your own selfies too!
SpeechesWhat would the End of Year Awards be without a speech from The Principal? As well as hearing from Mike, you can also expect to hear speeches from Lee and the Head Boy and Girl.
PartyOnce the dinner and presentations are out of they way, there will be a DJ to help you show off your best moves!
The end of an era.... Not only will this be your last chance to let your hair down before exams really kicks in, it will also signify the end of your time at Ashbourne College. In the past, we've had no known instances of emotional outbursts, but this could be the year! If you're the kind of person that gets sentimental about these things, bring tissues!
