Ashbourne’s A level History of Art Easter Revision course runs either in morning or afternoon sessions over five days and is taught by Katie Pettitt. Katie has a masters in Contemporary Art Theory and Criticism and BA in English Lit and History of Art. In the revision course for this topic the major artistic developments of the post-war and contemporary periods will be covered, such as Abstract Expressionism, Pop Art, Land Art, the YBAs, and Postmodernist architecture.
Unit 4 (HART4) Topic 4
In the revision course for this topic the major styles of the Modernist period period will be covered, such as Fauvism, Cubism, Italian Futurism, German Expressionism and the development of Modernist architecture.
