Visa Support

International students, including those from the EU and EEA, need a Student or Child Student visa to study at Ashbourne. Once fees are paid and documents approved, the College issues a CAS (Certificate of Acceptance for Studies), which is required to apply online. Accommodation

Ashbourne’s central London location gives students access to a wide choice of accommodation, from hostels to homestays with local families. While the College does not provide its own housing, we can share a list of trusted providers who have supported Ashbourne students for many years. Parents of international students are also required to appoint a UK-based education guardian. For full details about accommodation options and guidance, click here.

English Language Support

Ashbourne offers a dedicated English language programme to support international students in developing the skills needed for A-level success and UK university entry. From the start of Year 12, students receive weekly group tuition and are encouraged to practise their everyday English, with a College-wide policy that English is spoken on campus at all times. Results, Performance, University Destinations

Ashbourne students consistently achieve exceptional A-level results, reflecting their hard work, the expertise of our teachers, and the support of our close-knit community. In 2024, 49% of our students achieved A*A grades, far above the national average, with subject highlights including 100% A*A in Fine Art. This leads to our students securing places at the top university destinations. Over 60% of our students progress each year to Russell Group universities, including Cambridge, LSE and Imperial. Over the past ten years, UCL has been the single most popular destination for our graduates, including those in the 2025 cohort. Our success is also recognised nationally: Ashbourne is ranked in the top 2.5% of schools and colleges in England for the progress made from GCSE to A-level., and Ofsted has rated us Outstanding in all areas in both 2021 and 2024.
