My experience at Ashbourne has been life changing. Without the care and personal attention I was given I would not be the independent and thorough student which I consider myself to be.

We are very proud of our students’ achievement and acknowledge the primary importance of their effort. Without their ambition, determination and hard work, and the dedication and expertise of our teachers and staff, the college would not be as successful as it is. Ashbourne students’ outstanding A level results have helped us to remain in the top two of similar private colleges in London for many years.
Students receive tailored and individual support with applications to top universities and apprenticeships.
Each A level student is assigned a dedicated Personal Tutor who provides individual academic and pastoral support and guidance throughout their time at the college, which includes expert careers advice and one-to-one UCAS support, from choosing the right course, writing the perfect personal statement to interview practice all the way to accepting the best offer.
Ashbourne offers specialised university application programmes for competitive courses such as Medicine, Engineering, Finance, and related courses, and entry to Oxford and Cambridge Universities.

We make forecasts for each student’s final A level results at the beginning of their time at the College. Predictions are based on the results of an ALIS test, which each student sits before starting their A level programme, and their previous GCSE performance. The data is analysed in various ways such as measuring students final results compared with the ALIS test. The finding that our students’ performance overwhelmingly exceeds these predictions. For example, where the ALIS test and GCSE results suggest predicted grades of BBB, students on average would achieve AAB in their final results.
Ashbourne’s improvement in performance rate is as significant for one-year retake students as it is for two-year A level students. For example, a student who attained BBB at a previous school would on average gain a minimum of A*AA for their A level retake results at Ashbourne.
Ashbourne aims to improve student performance in a variety of ways but at the core is the personalised attention each student receives in class and outside of class. Students who perform best at Ashbourne are those who consistently take advantage of the excellent support and guidance on offer such as regular one-to-one meetings with teachers outside of class.
