Out of Hours Safeguarding Cover Policy

The Safeguarding and wellbeing of students at Ashbourne is paramount. This is reflected in our ethos and set out in our Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy and Procedures.

Our regular safeguarding support takes place during term time only. However, in order to offer clear guidance to our students and their families/carers we advise them on where to access emergency support, if required, during school holidays and out of hours.

During all official holidays, the following statement will be clearly displayed on the college website:

The College will be closed for the Christmas holidays from 1pm on Friday 18 December until 8am on Monday 4 January 2021.

During this period should you require emergency help or support please contact your GP, nearest A & E Department or the Police on 999.

Any concerns will be noted and appropriate safeguarding measures will be put in place.

Follow up meetings will be arranged once college reopens.

Where appropriate, for more serious issues, a member of the Safeguarding Team will contact you prior to the start of term.
