Ashbourne Virtual Private Network
Ashbourne is currently delivering classes via an online distance learning platform which our students can access through Ashbourne’s Virtual Private Network (VPN).
A VPN creates a secure connection between your computer and another network, in this case specifically to Ashbourne’s VPN. This will ensure that there is no public access or visibility of personal and technical details whilst students are connected through the VPN and allows students to access their work from the Ashbourne network.
Ashbourne determines and controls all content available via our VPN, which is restricted exclusively for online distance learning purposes; students will not be able to access any social, online or broadcast media that is not relevant to Ashbourne’s online learning programme via the VPN.
Each Ashbourne student will receive an individual username and password that will enable them to access the VPN. Students will then need to configure their computer to connect to the VPN.
Access to the VPN may vary depending on the country in which you are located and may be subject to local controls and laws.
