Our Open Evenings are friendly, relaxed in-person events where you can meet our students and teachers, and gain expert advice on A level subject combinations and university pathways. Speak directly with subject experts; there are no set time slots – simply drop in and meet with teachers at your convenience.
Open Evenings
– Summer: Tuesday 26th May 2026, 6-8pm
– Autumn: Wednesday 21st October 2026, 6-8pm
– Spring: Wednesday 10th March 2027, 6-8pm
– Summer: Wednesday 2nd June 2027, 5-7pm

These are a live online presentation offering insight into Ashbourne, combined with a webinar on guidance on relevant educational topics for prospective students. Our upcoming webinars will be on the topic “When A*s Are Not Enough” – exploring why even strong candidates can miss out on top UK universities. These webinars are hosted twice a year, in the Spring and Autumn Term.

1. Why is attending an Open Evening helpful?
An Open Evening gives you the chance to meet teachers, explore the college, and ask questions about courses and student life. It helps you get a real feel for Ashbourne’s community and decide whether it’s the right environment for your studies.
2. When is the next Ashbourne College Open Evening?
The next Open Evening takes place on Tuesday 26th May 2026 from 5–7pm. Further Open Evenings are scheduled for Wednesday 21st October 2026.
3. Are Virtual Open Events available for those who cannot attend in person?
Yes. Virtual Open Events are held online at 1pm (GMT). The upcoming dates are Wednesday 19th November 2025 and Tuesday 24th March 2026.
4. What happens at an Ashbourne Open Evening?
During Open Evenings, students and families can tour the college, meet teachers and current students, and learn more about A-level and GCSE programmes. It’s also an opportunity to ask questions about admissions, results, and university destinations.
