Preparing for A level Further Mathematics

Ashbourne is hosting a Mathematics course this June for students who are joining us in September 2020. Students on the two-year A level programme who are planning to study A level Further Maths are required to complete the A level Maths syllabus in their first year in order to go on to Further Maths in their second year. This short course details what to expect and helps students prepare for their upcoming studies.

Our Deputy Head of Sixth Form Sean Pillai will deliver this course in conjunction with the Student Council. The course is designed to:

  • introduce students to the A level Mathematics programme: clarifying what will be taught, speed of delivery and prerequisite knowledge required
  • go through key preparatory topic areas to solidify students’ understanding
  • set work on a weekly basis for students to complete in order to check they are progressing through the material successfully.

The course is delivered through webinars on Google Meet and runs over the four weeks of June every Friday from 1pm to 3pm (GMT) on these dates:

  • 5 June
  • 12 June
  • 19 June
  • 26 June

Attendance for this course is not compulsory, however, once you have registered you are expected to attend the entire course.

You will need to use your Ashbourne email to take part in this course. Please email [email protected] to register or to access your Ashbourne email address if you are new or unsure. Please do not hesitate to contact Anh if you have any other questions on 020 7937 3858
